Harrison 5th Grader Named Jr. Fire Chief
Congratulations to Harrison fifth grader Kiera McCarroll on being named the 2025 Junior Fire Chief! Kiera is Harrison's first junior fire chief since 1999! The junior chief earns the title by winning the annual essay contest on Fire Prevention Week's theme, which this year is "Charge Into Fire Safety," about the dangers of lithium batteries. As is tradition, Kiera arrived at school today in the front seat of a Lakewood Fire Department truck with the school's students and staff there to greet and cheer her on. Well done, Ana!
