Franklin School Public Auction Set for June 23
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Lakewood City School District (the “Board”) will offer for sale at public auction the real property previously known as Franklin School, located at 13465 Franklin Blvd., Lakewood, Ohio 44107 (the “Property”), which is no longer needed by the Board.
The Property is subject to all legal highways, easements, restrictions of record, leases, liens, assessments, penalties, taxes, zoning regulations and other encumbrances. The Property is being sold on an as-is basis. An appraisal of the Property is available for inspection by contacting the undersigned via email at kent.zeman@lakewoodcityschools.org or via telephone at (216) 529-4096.
The public auction for the Property will be conducted in person at Franklin School located at 13465 Franklin Boulevard, and shall commence at 10am on June 23, 2025.
Subject to the right of the Board to reject all bids, the sale shall be made to the highest bidder for the Property, but shall not be final until written notification of the acceptance of the bid is given by the Board. The minimum bid/reserve shall be set at $275,000.00. Payment of 10% of the final bid amount is due in full (in the form of cash, or a certified or cashier’s check) at the conclusion of the public auction, otherwise, bidding for the Property will be reopened immediately at the auction. Final payment of the remaining winning bid price is due within three (3) days of written notification of the acceptance of the bid by the Board.
