District Boasts Two Stop the Hate Honorees
Congratulations to Garfield Middle School student June Weaver Lakewood High junior Zoe Pierce, who placed first and second, respectively, in the Maltz Museum of Jewish History’s Stop the Hate Youth Speak Out essay and poetry contest! June won the top prize for seventh grade essay category, which comes with a $400 award. Zoe placed second in the poetry category. Her award comes with $1,500 and $500 educational grant for LHS. Well done June and Zoe!
