The Information Technology Department for Lakewood City Schools provides support for all technology-based materials throughout our buildings. The IT Department also oversees procurement and installation of all technology used by staff and students. Led by Brent Kallay, the department's technology and information professionals are committed to bringing a myriad of digital resources to the fingertips of teachers and students at all grade levels. Information and Data Privacy
As a district, we wish to be transparent in how we handle and manage information and data on the internet. We also wish to share what processes are in place to protect student and educator data while using school provided accounts.
With the implementation of G Suite for Education (Google Accounts), the district relies on Google's commitment to products that help protect student and teacher privacy. G Suite for Education provides a distinct Privacy and Security agreement that differs from personal Google accounts. For more information, click on the link provided below.

Tech Assistance for Devices

1:1 Technology Initiative
The below information is in regards to the Lakewood City Schools distribution of devices.
Lakewood City Schools provides all students in grades 1–12 with a District-issued 1:1 Chromebook. Students in kindergarten through grade 5 will use Chromebooks that remain in the classroom throughout the school year. Students in grades 6–12 will be assigned Chromebooks to take between school and home each day. Students will be assigned devices at the beginning of 6th grade and 9th grade. Students will turn devices in at the end of their 8th grade and 12th grade years.
