Shannon Katzenberger (left) and Kaitlyn Bitter
Congratulations to two of our Lakewood High students whose essays were recognized in the 2022 Hope and Stanley Adelstein Essay Contest. The City Club-sponsored contest had students respond to a prompt that asked what the impact would be in education and on our ideas of freedom of speech if anti-CRT (Critical Race Theory) legislation passes in Ohio. Freshman Shannon Katzenberger won third place in the 9th/10th grade division and junior Kaitlyn Bitter earned an honorable mention in the 11th/12th grade division. Way to go, girls!
