Lincoln Wins First 5th Grade Battle of Books

The first 5th Grade Battle of the Books is in the books and Team Lincoln is the winner! Team Harrison gave them a run for their money in the final but came up short. About 100 5th graders from all seven of our elementary schools, plus a team from Lakewood Catholic Academy, participated in the event, styled in the format of Jeopardy. Each team had two rounds to score points by answering questions about the eight books they read this school year. The two teams with the highest combined scores met in the final. Shout out to Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation for providing the books and media specialists April Hoy, Kevin Costello, and Jennifer Johnson for organizing, and Lakewood Public Library for hosting!
