Lakewood City Schools will continue to offer students enrolled in the District a daily free breakfast and lunch.  Students will be offered a hot meal for the day.  Next-day breakfast will consist of the breakfast menu on the Nutrition Services page of the website.  Next-day lunch will consist of a PB&J sandwich, fruit, vegetables and milk.  A cheese sandwich will be substituted for any child with a peanut allergy provided the proper documentation is on file with Nutrition Services.

 

 A.   Meal pickup procedure for Partial Return students during their “in classroom day” for the following day:

    I.        Elementary Schools

  • Students indicate to their teacher if they wish to have meals to take home for the following day.

  • Bagged breakfast and lunches will be delivered to each classroom beginning at 2:00 pm for take home.

   II.        Middle Schools

  • Students indicate to the kitchen staff that they wish to have meals to take home for the following day.

  • Bagged breakfast and lunches will be available for pickup by those students in the cafeteria at dismissal time.

  • Students will proceed through the lunch line to pick up the meals for the following day. 

   III.        Lakewood High School

  • Students may be permitted to go to the LHS cafeteria on their “off-day” to pick up their grab-n-go cold breakfast or hot meal for that day. All LHS students must have their ID in order to enter the building.

  • Meals would also be available for pickup by parents at the LHS Bookroom from 10:50 am-1:30 pm. Parents must provide their name and the name of the student(s).

  IV.        Franklin School of Opportunity

  • Teachers will inform the kitchen each morning of the number of students requesting breakfast/lunch for the following day.

  • Students may pick up their meals at 2:30 pm in the cafeteria.

B.   Meal pickup procedure for eLearning and Remote 2.0 students:

Note: Parents of eLearning students have the option to pick up meals at any school building, after following the below procedures:

 I.        Elementary

  • Parents will contact the school office the day before and provide the secretary the first and last name of the student and school they attend.

  • Parents may pick up the meals, a hot lunch and cold breakfast, between 11:30 am- 12:30 pm at the school office.

II.        Middle and FSO

  • Parents will contact the school office the day before and provide the secretary the first and last name of the student and school they attend.
  • Parents may pick up the meals, a hot lunch and cold breakfast, between 10:30 - 11:00 am at the school office.

III.       Lakewood High School

  • Lakewood High students may be permitted to go to the high school cafeteria to pick up their grab-n-go cold breakfast or hot meal for that day. All LHS students must have their ID in order to enter the building.

  • Meals will also be available for pickup by parents at the LHS Bookroom between 10:50 am-1:30 pm. Parents must provide their name and the name of the student(s).

NOTE: Any Lakewood City Schools student can pick up meals on an off day at the high school and they will be permitted to enter the building and go to the cafeteria to obtain their grab-n-go cold breakfast or hot meal for the day.
