Harding Middle School participated in the Music in the Parks Festival at Sandusky Perkins High School and Cedar Point May 29 and came away with a couple first places and some impressive ratings.

The Harding Strolling Strings under the direction of Patty Perec earned a Superior rating and first place while the Harding Singers lead by Peter Hampton and Jazz Band under the direction of Brian Griebel both earned first place and an Excellent rating. The 8th Grade Choir also performed well earning a second place while the Harding Concert Band earned a 3rd place with an Excellent rating.

Ella Blackman and Max Mulready were singled out for outstanding jazz solos while Luke DeBaltzo was recognized for his singing solo in the Harding Singers.
The students performed in the morning and then enjoyed the rest of the day at Cedar Point riding all the rides.  It was a great ending to the year for these fine co-curricular and curricular groups and a great reward for all of their hard work preparing for performances throughout the year!  Congratulations Harding musicians!
