Middle School will begin Fall 2021 course scheduling for currently enrolled middle schoolers. Advanced and 8th grade Word Language Course requirements are as follows:

  • Advanced ELA: Cognitive score of 115 plus 90th percentile in reading on nationally normed achievement test

  • Advanced Social Studies: Cognitive score of 115 plus 90th percentile in reading on nationally normed achievement test

  • Advanced Science: Cognitive score of 115 plus 90th percentile in science on nationally normed achievement test

  • Advanced Math: Cognitive score of 115 plus 90th percentile in math on nationally normed achievement test

  • 8th Grade World Language: Seventh grade students who maintain a B average in both ELA and math classes as well as score on grade level or above on the winter iReady diagnostic will be considered for World Language Course Placement.  These world language courses are for high school credit and count in the students’ high school GPA.  Students enrolled in a world language course have their ELA course or Advanced ELA course compressed into a single period resulting in additional work to be completed independently, outside the classroom.

Fifth grade students will begin scheduling for middle school courses this spring.
