Harding Middle School’s 6th grade Health classes had some hands-on learning when the Lakewood Hospital Stroke Team made a visit to their classroom. The Stroke Team visited classes two days to instruct students about strokes and to give students an opportunity to experience things that a stroke victim may experience. The students got a “real” feel for many stroke victim’s daily life activities. At the conclusion of the program, each student received a Certificate of Completion and a wealth of knowledge about strokes and how to prevent them. Thank you to the Lakewood Hospital Stroke Team for bringing this valuable program to our school! To view photo gallery click here.
