HMS Students Holding Fundraiser for Nanze Organization

Posted On: Monday, February 1, 2016

Mr. Maxhimer’s classes felt this was a great local connection to help children on a global scale and to continue the message of “Be the Change.”  Mr. Maxhimer explains, “It is my belief that education is the key to success, it will allow children to have a bright future and anything I and my students can do to help will effect the future!”

The money raised with Friday's dress down day will be donated to the Nanze organization by Mr. Maxhimer's Language Arts classes.  The goal was to raise over $1,000.00 for this organization before the end of the school year through this and other fundraisers.

Past fundraisers include the Socktober drive we had during 2nd quarter where we collected over 400 pairs of socks for the homeless of Cleveland and collecting over 30,000 pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald house during 2nd quarter.
