Solon High School senior Justin Bachman brought his message of acceptance and tolerance to Harding students and fifth graders from Lincoln, Hayes, Grant and Horace Mann on Tuesday, March 31, delivering it with his unique brand of “Living Loud” drawn from his own experiences living with Tourette Syndrome.
After a few unfortunate incidents of intolerance by others toward him, Bachman decided to do something. That something turned into the Tolerance Fair, which is in its third year and brings more than 1,000 people and nonprofits together.
As Justin says on his web site, he has learned to embrace his differences and acknowledge others’ difficulty in practicing tolerance when they don’t understand differences. He spreads his message “that different is good” at schools across the area.
