Dear Roosevelt Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope you have had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the summer. As the newly appointed principal at Roosevelt Elementary School, I am honored to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I have spent the past five years serving as an elementary principal in the Willoughby-Eastlake City School District. Prior to this position, I worked in Madison Local Schools as a teacher and assistant principal for six years, and a teacher in Highland Local Schools for two years.
My family and I live in Rocky River. My husband, Matt, is a teacher at North Olmsted High School. Our daughter, Emily, will be in 2nd grade, and our son, Henry, will be in Pre-K this year. We both grew up in Cleveland and we love it here. We often find ourselves in Lakewood for family walks, hiking in the metroparks, playing at Lakewood Park, or at Malley’s for a sweet treat! More than anything, our family is very excited to become a part of the Roosevelt family.
I’m extremely committed to continuing the great successes at Roosevelt! Over the summer, I had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Roosevelt staff members over the course of two days. I am extremely impressed by their commitment and passion for teaching, learning, and kids. As an educator and parent myself, I understand the vital role that family plays in a child’s education. I encourage and welcome you to be an active partner in the education of your child(ren). When we all work together as a team, success and achievement will follow.
I am looking forward to meeting you, and to a wonderful 2019-2020 school year! Please take a moment to review all of the important back-to-school dates and information on our website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office at 216-529-4224. Enjoy the rest of your summer! See you soon!
