Congratulations to the 284 seniors who walked across the Civic Auditorium stage to receive their high school diplomas in the 174th Lakewood High School Commencement! The graduates received their diplomas from Board of Education President Betsy Bergen Shaughnessy and Superintendent Maggie Niedzwiecki in the May 27th event in front of proud family, friends, and teachers.

The Class of 2022 heard from the two classmates who were selected by their peers to speak, Sylvie Ballou and Noor Imtiaz, as well as faculty-selected speaker Collin Hunt.

During the ceremony, Principal Mark Walter recognized several special student groups including those wearing National Honor Society stoles, French Honor Society ribbons, Career Technical Honor Society medals, the seven students joining the military and the 40 students wearing Hawthorne Medals for finishing their high school careers with a 4.0 GPA or better.

The ceremony concluded with senior choir members singing "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" and then the entire class and audience joining in to sing the LHS Alma Mater.

Congratulations to the Class of 2022 graduates!
