On Thursday, the Cleveland Museum of Art visited Hayes Second Graders. Learning about other cultures is a standard the 2nd graders were working on so the Museum brought 4 masks to share. Students not only learned about the masks and how different cultures use masks for a variety of reasons but they also got to touch them and look at the details up close. Each child wore a pair of gloves so that the oil on their skin wouldn't damage any of the masks. Not only did the second graders learn a lot and have fun, but they got to touch true pieces of art from other cultures. What an experience!
