LINCOLN GROUNDBREAKING SET FOR MARCH 13

On Friday, March 13 at 4 pm, the District will hold the first groundbreaking for our new elementary schools! Please join Superintendent Patterson and the Board of Education for this momentous occasion. The school will be represented by Principal Sandy Kozelka, students and PTA officers. The event takes place in the old Lincoln parking lot, 15616 Clifton Blvd. All are welcome and the event will take place rain or shine!

Lincoln Singers National Anthem

Our Lincoln Singers opened the Lake Erie Monsters game with the National Anthem on Saturday night.  Quite a big deal for 4th and 5th graders.  About 200 people were in attendance from Lincoln to support them! 

What does love mean to kids?

Our second grade classes took a field trip to WKYC in February. While they were there, some were interviewed about the meaning of love for a future news feature "What Does Love Mean to Kids?".  They later came to the school and did some follow up work in Ms. Hennessey's class.  Paste the folloiwng link into your browser to watch the entire news video here:

Jump Rope for Heart

On Friday, February 27, Lincoln's Jump Rope Club put on an amazing show of skill!  The whole school participated in the celebration of raising $6200 for the American Heart Association.  Mrs. Anderson worked with jump rope club members many days before and after school honing their skills and improving their cardio vascualr endurance.  Thanks to everyone to contributed or otherwise supported these efforts!

GIFTED PROGRAM RESCHEDULED MEETING IS TONIGHT

The Gifted & Talented program information meeting is rescheduled for 7 pm Tuesday, March 3 at Horace Mann Elementary School, 1215 West Clifton (parking off of Webb Road).  This meeting will follow the same agenda as the Feb. 26 meeting.  The purpose of the meeting is to share the gifted committee's progress to date with the audience and to gather ideas about the strengths and needs of Lakewood's gifted programming.  These thoughts will help inform the committee of any concerns that may not have been addressed to date.  

This is not a meeting regarding final programming decisions. All are welcome!
