Thank you to Shelia DeLuca for making this beautiful tree outside the LRC to thank all of our wonderful volunteers.
Each volunteer had their own "leaf" as a thank you for lending a helping hand.
March 6th at 6:30pm is Grant's Family Reading Night.
This free annual event is a great family get together to mark the close of Right to Read Week and is filled with fun, reading and games.
The last Box Top contest of the year is happening now.
Take advantage of being stuck in the house during this cold weather and clip some Box Tops! The contest scheduled to end today on 2/20 will be extended to Tuesday 2/24. This is the last Box Top Contest of this school year so be sure to send them all in by Tuesday 2/20 so we can get them turned in on time.
Those little Box Tops have earned Grant PTA over $1800 so far this year. This money directly supports our student and really does make a difference so thank you to everyone that takes the time to clip and save them.
Monthly Marco's Night
Huge Congratulations to Ms. Keane's class for winning our first monthly Marco's Pizza Night in February. Ms. Keane's class had the most orders placed. Marco's will provide a pizza party for the class!!! Thanks to everyone who participated and helped to support our great school.
We will continue to do Marco's Pizza Fundraiser Nights on the first Tuesday of each month. We will send reminders and post signs to remind everyone.

Meet the President
If you have ever thought about getting involved in the PTA and felt too shy to just show up to a meeting, maybe you’d feel better if you knew our fearless leader.
Let me introduce Rachel Vuyancih! Rachel has been at Grant Elementary for 9 years now and has been active with the PTA for most of that time. This is her second year as PTA president and I know she wants to go out with a bang and make this year the best year ever!
If you have seen her around school you already know she is sweet and approachable. I promise she will make you feel welcome at all of the meetings. Rachel knows everyone’s lives are different and some of us can only donate a small amount of time so you will not be pressured to take on anything.
So please join us at a meeting send an email to GrantPTALakewood@gmail.com if you'd like to get involved and help make this year the greatest Grant has had!
Ways you can get involved:
- Volunteer in the classroom at class parties (or just one party)
- Help at membership tables at varios community events
- Count box tops
- Assist with the book fairs - one hour or up to the whole week - up to you
- Plan and/or volunteer at the 5th grade party
- Help make buttons or stamps for Spirit Days - an hour in the morning
- Plan or volunteer at the Winter Carnival
