LONG RANGE FACILITIES MASTER PLAN IS COMPLETE!
With the dedication of the new athletic facilities at Lakewood High School on November 30 2017, the District's Facilities Master Plan, adopted by the Board of Education in 2003, is now complete. The LHS performing arts wing opened in August 2017 and the academic wing opened in January 2017. The District has now successfully completed rebuilding or renovating the high school, two middle schools and seven elementary schools! This is all thanks to the generosity of our community, who overwhelmingly passed three bond issues and permanent improvement levies. The high school project was part of the third and final phase of the master plan, as was the rebuilding of Grant, Lincoln and Roosevelt Elementary Schools, which opened in August 2016.
