Mr. Einhouse is a lifelong resident of Lakewood. After graduating from Lakewood High School in 1976 he earned a BA in Business from Baldwin-Wallace College. He and his wife, Cindy, have two sons, one who graduated from Lakewood Schools and one who is currently attending Lakewood High.
Mr. Einhouse has been employed at Playhouse Square for 34 years and is the Vice President of Facilities and Capital. His work with the rescue, renovation and operation of the second largest performing arts center in the US, coupled with the oversight of the capital needs of the 1,000,000 plus square foot commercial portfolio, brings many benefits to his service on the Board.
Before being elected to the Board, Mr. Einhouse served the Lakewood community in a variety of ways. He has served complete 6-year terms on both the Lakewood Board of Zoning Appeals and the Lakewood Planning Commission, where he ended both terms as the Chair. He played a leadership role in first and second phase of the Lakewood Schools Visioning the Next 50 Year Committee. He also played leadership roles in three successful bond issue campaigns and the most recent school levy.
Additionally, Mr. Einhouse has served as the Board Chair for the League of Historic American Theatres, and the Board President for the Cleveland Restoration Society. He is a licensed Realtor, and a member of NAIOP – National Association of Office and Industrial Properties, ULI – Urban Land Institute, and BOMA – Building Owners and Managers Association.
Mr. Einhouse is serving his second term on the Board and served as President in 2016
