Junior Model United Nations

Select sixth graders at Harding Middle school participated in the Junior Model United Nations. Model UN is a program that let’s kids at middle schools and high schools participate in a debate. Students work with a partner and are given countries and committees. Each committee has two topics based on what the committee does and the students are supposed to study their topic and how their country feels about the topic. Everyone gets together on two days and debates in their committees on how to solve the two problems. It benefits students in many ways like learning how to collaborate and debate. The students of Harding Middle School all enjoyed themselves at Model UN. We hope to do it again next year.
